Shafaq News / The counter-terrorism services announced on
Tuesday that it had thwarted an attempt to carry out an explosion inside a
popular market in Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate.
The service said in a statement today that it thwarted a
terrorist plan to target citizens in a popular market in Baqubah, through a
preemptive operation that was carried out minutes before the bombing.
The statement indicated that the terrorist who was carrying the
explosive device was arrested.
