UAE energy company Crescent Petroleum has started to develop three oil and gas fields in Iraq with the aim of supplying fuel for gas-fired power plants in the conflict-ridden country. Contracts to develop fields in Basra and Diyala provinces were signed in February and upstream work commenced just now, Sharjah-headquartered Crescent said.
